Dr. Lee Keener

Dr. Lee Keener

Dr. Keener received the BA degree from Amherst College in 1967 and a doctorate in mathematics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1972. He also hold an MSc in Computer Science from the University of Oregon (1983). He has been a faculty member at Dalhousie University and Indiana University at South Bend, and is currently Professor of Mathematics at the University of Northern British Columbia where he was the founding department Chair. He is the author of more than 20 research articles. His research areas are approximation theory and Banach space theory. He is married with two daughters and divides his time between Prince George, BC and Edmonton, Alberta (where he teaches each fall at the University of Alberta).
